Green Smoothie Recipe – Healthy Vegan Recipes On Video

Recipe: www.healthyveganrecipes.net This green smoothie recipe is more about the technique of putting together a smoothie, since you could make up a million healthy vegan recipes for smoothies. Try different fruits if you like, but if you skip the banana use something creamy like avocado or a heavy nut milk. Try using lettuce, parsley, cucumber, celery or any other green instead of sprouts.

fossil fuels are one thing for sure but that does influence the quality of the banana.
so they take the bananas green from the tree and they basicly are raw till they arrive in canada (in this case). often they spray hormons on them to become ripe.
I live in middleeurope and most of the bananas come from south america. I have to? leave them for days, sometimes a week until you can eat them.

  • CullenLovesMe says:

@rui27marne? they are imported to Canada, they are not a ‘local’ product :)

  • toolfarm says:

@rui27marne They’re imported so they use a lot of fossil fuels to get them to Canada.?

The funny part is that there? are so many variations of this which to choose? @_@

  • healthyvegan says:

@thatkidevan I don’t refrigerate my fruit, I like to let it ripen at room temperature. If you want a colder smoothie though, you could definitely do that. I know a lot of people? freeze their bananas to make an ice-cream-like smoothie :)

  • thatkidevan says:

should you refrigerate your fruit before putting? it in?

@b0rtie I would switch it up for a? variety of nutrients, and spinach in particular is high in oxalic acid, which interferes with your body’s ability to absorb certain nutrients (namely calcium) and can also aggravate inflammation (i.e. arthritis, joint pain, etc.). Even parsley, which is AMAZINGLY nutritious, can interfere with women’s fertility if overdone. Balance, moderation and variety is key – switch around to get the benefits of fantastic foods without those potential downsides :)

Thank you for another great recipe! I have a question, is it safe to drink a green smoothie made with spinach everyday? Or do I need to switch up the type of greens that I use in my smoothie (i.e. romaine lettuce, parsley, etc)? Thanks in advance! :) ?

@freakinawesomeguy32 filtered water is important in general, but not crucial to the smoothie. Aloe juice is just something I have at the moment, a good thing to use but also not crucial,? I don’t add it for flavor ;) If your smoothie was thick & small, it’s probably the water content – add as much as you like to get it to the consistency you want. You can drink the whole thing yourself, but I wouldn’t recommend refrigerating since it will oxidize quickly – so maybe leave out the apple next time?

  • freakinawesomeguy32 says:

also, mine? came out really thick… even after blending it for a long time… should i use more water next time? thanks for all of your help!

  • freakinawesomeguy32 says:

okay… so i made the recipe and i have some questions… my recipe just filled up one cup full… i put in a full apple and banana, a hand full and a half of baby spinach leaves, 3 full leaves of kale, a hemp protein powder, a little less spirulina than you used and 2 teaspoons of lemon.. is that nutritious for one person or should i? split it? I’m actually having trouble finishing it… Can you refrigerate it and drink the rest later?

  • freakinawesomeguy32 says:

does it have to be filtered water? i don’t have a? water filter(yet) and i want to make this… also, i don’t have aloe vera juice(i ordered it online and it hasn’t came yet) will not adding it affect the flavor?
